Robert ‘Cooly’ Coolahan is an experienced outdoorsman who developed his love for fishing while spending time with childhood buddies at the creek and his love for golf by learning from his dad. As his skills developed, he realized that he loved being outdoors and was good at teaching others.

A life-long learner himself, Rob understands that everyone can benefit from expert advice, from the beginner angler or golfer to the more experienced. He works with both private and corporate clients. When you spend a day fishing with Rob or play a few rounds of golf, his goal is to help you and your friends or business partners enjoy the day relaxing in the beautiful 1000 Islands area.

Fishing is a sport of quiet conversations, long silences and thrilling action. One of the best moments for Rob is the glass-like water on the lake as you set out in the early morning.

Rob has worked with numerous outdoor professionals in all media.

As a young man, he grew up enjoying the game of golf with his dad, watching the mist rise off the course as the day warmed up and listening to the quietness of nature moving about in the early mornings. Golf is a sport that allows for personal development and camaraderie with fellow players at the same time. Important conversations and good-natured play can go hand-in-hand.

Rob has continued his training, through both the Canadian Golf Teachers Federation (CGTF) and the United States Golf Teachers Federation (USGTF). He teaches Peak Performance Golf Swing, invented by Master PGA Professional, Don Trahan.

Rob has been playing and teaching golf for over 30 years.
